Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Intermediate Care/Acute Overflow - Pulmonary & Nephrology Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights, 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 Experience: Minimum 1 Year of Nursing Experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Nursing Diploma or ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing Job Description: - Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. - Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting. - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs to ensure professional growth. - Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. - Uses patient education materials relevant to patient population and assesses readiness to learn. - Recognizes expected outcomes and seeks guidance in revising care plans. - Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate patient care and communicates relevant information. - Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex problems, considering physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs. - Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required. - Utilizes healthcare standards and procedures to organize and prioritize patient care. - Consults timely with appropriate resources for complex care or discharge planning needs. - Develops goals for professional growth and participates in unit goals and performance improvement activities. - Promotes cost-effective care and gives constructive feedback to colleagues. - Recognizes and acts upon data from complex situations to prioritize care. - Collaborates with patients and families to update care plans, considering cultural and ethnic issues. - Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks for patients with complex problems. - Engages with research and brings relevant ideas to the team for assessment.
