Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
• Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images, manipulate images according to protocols, and perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
• Administer oral and IV contrast according to protocols, ensuring safe and proper injection procedures.
• Transfer images to PACS, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and verify and segment images at the QC station.
• Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and precepting new employees and students.Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.Work EnvironmentThis position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
